A 30 OR 50-MILE ULTRA
THE OCHIL ULTRA
ABOUT THE EVENT
A real challenge from the Wee Run Events team.
Long ultra of 50 miles from Central Perth to Stirling University - this is a qualifying ultra for the West Highland Way Race
Short ultra of 30 miles from Auchterarder to Stirling - a GREAT distance to tackle if you've never done an ultra before
We welcome ALL runners, from ALL backgrounds and ALL genders. We are an LGBTQIA+ friendly event - in fact we're friendly FULL STOP! You can run as M or F or NB and we welcome you to sign up and run as the gender of your choice.
Don't feel ready to tackle an ultra solo as yet? Then do the 50 miles as a team!
Both routes use the Core Path Network giving stunning views across central Scotland - selfies are very much welcomed!
Scottish Natural Heritage Promote the use of the Core Path network details can be found on their website.

100 Mile Ultra
NEW! THE OCHIL 100
Run from Stirling University to Perth and back again!
NEW FOR 2023
We are introducing the Ochil 100.
Run from Stirling to Perth and then right back again.
End to end to end on the Ochils.
This is a limited entry for runners who wish to attempt it AND who fit the qualifying criteria.
You must have successfully completed a 50 mile (or higher) ultra in the past (Ochil 50 miles qualifies) and you must have completed it in 12 hours or less. This means your average pace works out as 4.17 miles per hour (or higher!).
The Ochil 100 is an advanced ultra recommended for experienced ultra runners. You must have a support crew to help you - particularly on the first 50 miles. We will have a checkpoint around 25 miles on the first half, but your support crew will be expected to help you fuel up and keep you hydrated on the first 50 miles. The checkpoints on the second half are the same as the 50 mile ultra (a total of 6 checkpoints)
Your support crew can meet up with you along the route - we can help you to plan but please note there are places where vehicles ARE NOT ALLOWED as there is little to no access and we do not want to pee off the land owners!
Full conditions of entry can be viewed here.
International applicants - please contact us if you need help getting a support crew together.
