In 2025 the Ochil Ultra incorporated the Scottish Athletics ultra trail championships.

A 30 OR 50-MILE ULTRA

THE OCHIL ULTRA

ABOUT THE EVENT

2026 is the 9th Ochil Ultra (50 mile and 30 mile) and the 4th Ochil 100.

Long ultra of 50 miles from sportscotland institute of sport to Perth Fitness Studios, Perth - this is a qualifying ultra for the West Highland Way Race

Short ultra of 30 miles from Auchterarder to Perth Fitness Studios - a GREAT distance to tackle if you've never done an ultra before

We welcome ALL runners, from ALL backgrounds and ALL genders. We are an LGBTQIA+ friendly event - in fact we're friendly FULL STOP! You can run as M or F or NB and we welcome you to sign up and run as the gender of your choice.

Don't feel ready to tackle an ultra solo as yet? Then do the 50 miles as a team!

Both routes use the Core Path Network giving stunning views across central Scotland - selfies are very much welcomed!

Scottish Natural Heritage Promote the use of the Core Path network details can be found on their website.

T-Shirts

T-shirts are not included in our entry price as we are aware that many people have wardrobes overflowing with t-shirts that they don't want, don't like and will end up in a landfill.

BUT we do offer T-shirts at an additional cost which you can purchase at a reduced price after entry.

T-shirts are made to order so there won't be any to purchase at the event.

Please double check that you order the correct size.

ENTRIES FOR 2026 WILL CLOSE 22ND AUGUST

Cut Offs

At Wee Run Events we prefer Finish Lines over Finish Times so our cut-offs are generous.

There are no specific cut-off times at CP1, 2 AND 3 but if you are moving at around 5km an hour (or less) we may ask you to retire. This counts double if the weather is bad. Your safety is our number one priority.

We have a "diversion" route in place - if you do not reach the diversion point by 7.28pm you will be directed to the safer route which avoids the final hill (we don't want you going over in the pitch black) This means you will still finish but with a shorter distance.

You need to leave CP4 at approx 7pm in order to arrive at the diversion point at 7.28pm. This is at the RD disgression - if you absolutely kill yourself to make this time the chances are you won't have the energy to go over and you WILL be diverted.

NO ARGUMENTS RD decision is final and it is about your safety.

BIG THANKS!

TO OUR SPONSORS!

HUGE THANKS TO NEIL FROM ECOSSE REMOVALS AND STORAGE

Neil is the man who makes sure that the water kindly donated by Highland Spring is ready and waiting at each checkpoint and who delivers your drop bags to the right place at the right time!

100 Mile Ultra

THE OCHIL 100

Run from Perth to Stirling and back again!

The Ochil 100 2026

The Ochil 100: Run from Perth to Stirling and then right back again.

End to end to end on the Ochils.

This is a limited entry for runners who wish to attempt it AND who fit the qualifying criteria.

You must have successfully completed a 50 mile (or higher) ultra in the past (Ochil 50 miles qualifies) and you must have completed it in 12 hours or less. This means your average pace works out as 4.17 miles per hour (or higher!).

BE WARNED: In Year 1 we had a 50% finisher rate (2 started 1 finished)

In Year 2 that dropped to 12.5%....(4 started, none finished)

In Year 3 we had 3 start and 2 finish!

Can you make it?

The Ochil 100 is an advanced ultra recommended for experienced ultra runners. You must have a support crew to help you - particularly on the first 50 miles. We will have a checkpoint around 25 miles on the first half, but your support crew will be expected to help you fuel up and keep you hydrated on the first 50 miles. The checkpoints on the second half are the same as the 50 mile ultra (a total of 6 checkpoints)

Your support crew can meet up with you along the route - we can help you to plan but please note there are places where vehicles ARE NOT ALLOWED as there is little to no access and we do not want to pee off the land owners!

Full conditions of entry can be viewed here.

International applicants - please contact us if you need help getting a support crew together.
